This research methodology course teaches you how to design, conduct and document an effective scientific research project. We explain how to formulate a research problem, design research methods, select samples and write a research proposal. The course then demonstrates how to collect, process, analyze and present data before taking you through the steps required to write a clear and compelling research report.
Course Duration : 3 Months
Credit Points : 12 credits
Admission time : Admission is open in the Month of March, June, September and December
Admission Requirements: Must be MBBS/MD/BDS/BSc/BSS/BA
Course Session : The will be four sessions in a year.
- Winter session From 1st January to 30th March
- Spring Session From 1st April to 30th June
- Summer From 1st July to 30th September
- Fall Session From 1st October to 30st December
Lecture Modules
Unit 1(Week 1) Introduction to Research - Definition and Typology of Research.
Unit 2 (Week ) Literature Review.
Unit 3 (Week 3) Study Design
Unit 4 (Week 4) Sampling & sample size in research
Unit 5 (Week 5) Primary Data Collection and/or generation.
Unit 6 (Week 6) Statistical Methods: descriptive and inferential statistics
Unit 7 (Week 7) Data analysis, Hypothesis testing and Data presentation.
Unit 8 (Week 8) SPSS and excel for data analysis
Unit 9 (Week 9) Validity and Ethical issues.
Unit 10 (Week 10) Protocol & Research Report writing & Referencing
Unit 11 (Week 11) Review Class
(Week 12) Final Exam
Project presentation: After the final Exam dissertation submission and presentation would be held in the campus.
